Professional and leadership development symposium is largest gathering of military women in the country.

Washington, D.C. – The Sea Service Leadership Association (SSLA) is hosting its 28th annual Joint Women’s Leadership Symposium, the largest gathering of military women worldwide. The two-day symposium will be held June 11-12, 2015 at the Wyndham San Diego Bayside in San Diego, CA and will feature some of the nation’s most prominent female military leaders, as well as various presentations, including:

  • Effective Leadership: The “Self Developed” Leader
  • Leadership Super Power
  • Inspiring Leaders: A model for inspiring yourself and others everyday
  • Mapping Your Financial Future

In addition to keynote speakers, spotlights, and professional development sessions, the two-day event will feature the highly anticipated Female Leaders Panel, which includes influential female service members from all service branches, as well as the Joint Leadership Awards Luncheon on Thursday, June 11.

The Symposium exemplifies SSLA’s proud tradition of providing exceptional professional and personal development resources for women in the military and remains an invaluable tool for networking, mentoring, education and leadership development.

On Friday, June 12, the Symposium continues with an early morning yoga session at the County of San Diego Recreational Park, followed by a keynote session hosted by AAFMAA on financial planning before participants are grouped by service branch for a day focused on specific issues facing individual military services, including: Army, Navy, Air Force, and Coast Guard.
